Environmental, Social, Governance + Sustainability

Our Approach

At Fenway®, we are committed to conducting business in an environmentally sustainable, socially responsible and ethically sound manner. We recognise that the wellbeing of our planet, communities and stakeholders is essential for our long-term success.

We believe that integrating ESG considerations into our business strategy will help us achieve our goals and create value for all of our stakeholders.

Our ESG approach is aligned with our vision, mission and values.

Fenway® ESG | Environmental

Environmental

We carefully consider the impact of our activities on the environment and are committed to reducing our environmental footprint by implementing sustainable practices in our design, build and furnishing processes.

Our greatest challenge as a business is understanding, managing and reducing the negative environmental impact within our broad and diverse supply chain. We will encourage our suppliers and sub-contractors to adopt environmentally responsible practices and review and improve their environmental performance. We will also prioritise the use of environmentally friendly and energy efficient products and materials in our projects.

Our formal journey through neutral to zero began in October 2022 when we committed to halve our emissions by 2030 and achieve net zero by 2050. We are currently analysing our 2023 baseline data and continue to share updates on our progress.

We are members of the UK Green Building Council community, signatories of the SME Climate Hub nett zero commitment and supporters of the Ecologi Climate Positive Workforce initiative.

Fenway® ESG | Social

Social

We carefully consider the impact of our activities on our people, sub-contractors, suppliers, clients, friends-in-business, local community and on society.

At the heart of our social impact are the culture that we create and the tone that we set, in both internal and external interactions.

We take a global stakeholder view, recognising, respecting and appreciating the value of all those who contribute to our work and carefully considering the needs and wishes of those affected by our work.

We strive to create design solutions that enhance the wellbeing and safety of the people who use the spaces that we build.

We are committed to providing fair and safe working conditions for our employees, sub-contractors and suppliers and to ensuring that our projects have a positive impact on the communities in which we work.

We carefully consider accessibility and inclusivity in our designs, ensuring that the spaces we create are accessible to people of all abilities and backgrounds.

Fenway® ESG | Governance

Governance

We carefully consider the mechanics and impacts of our decision making, communications and reporting.

We believe in candid, concise and consistent communications and in taking responsibility for our actions and choices.

We work with suitably qualified professionals and specialists to help us to pay all applicable taxes and fees and to ensure that our reporting is accurate and up-to-date.

We maintain the highest standards of ethics and integrity in our business operations and make transparency and accountability core parts of our culture.

Summary

By prioritising ESG in our day-to-day operations, we believe that we can contribute to a more sustainable, equitable and prosperous future for our company, our stakeholders and the communities in which we operate.

We recognise that this is an ongoing process and will continuously review and improve our ESG approach in order to ensure that we are meeting our obligations to the best of our abilities.

We welcome any feedback, suggestions or questions that you may have in relation to our ESG policy and approach.
